About us
The
I.C.S / I.A.S Officers’ Wives’
Association Or I.A.S.O.W.A
as it is more commonly known as,
initially started as a regular club for
the wives of I.C.S / I.A.S officers on Central
Deputation to the Government of India. The
Association started with the idea of providing
the members an opportunity to meet once
a month and touch base with friends from
various parts of the country, which is not
possible when posted in Home Cadres.
However on the
19th of October 1968,
some of our wonderful seniors got together
to add a new dimension to the club by getting
it registered as a ‘Welfare
Society’ under the Societies Registration
Act XXI of 1860. It will
be of interest to many to know the names
of our seniors who signed our registration
request.
